Update: All new models we got so far!
Praise the Emperor! It is finally confirmed. The Sisters of Battle will reappear in one of the darkest hours of the Imperium in 2019 – Here is the “announcement trailer” from Adepticon:
That’s right, Games Workshop heard our calls from the last 20 years and will release new plastic Sisters of Battle. And that’s not all, they will also start a special converage of the Sisters throughout the year. Here’s what they shared on Warhammer Community:
We know many of you have been waiting patiently (and impatiently…) for a long time for the Adepta Sororitas, and that for many of you this is more than ‘just’ a new army. So, we’re going to do something we’ve never done before – right up until the release, we’ll be bringing you updates on the Sisters of Battle, sharing images and snippets of info and a whole ton of behind the scenes goodness.
Emperor willing, the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas will be ready to take the fight to the renegade, the heretic and the unbeliever in 2019.
That alone sounds great, but it also grows hope, that the re-release will be pretty huge. Introducing and teasing an army like that, hints towards big changes and a wide range of new models.
And we don’t have to wait for a full year to see things happen. Another information says: “This winter’s chapter approved will beta test new Sister of Battle rules.”
This sounds promissing on the one hand, on the other, it hints towards a release-date far beyond the start of 2019. Not to mention that GW says “Emperor willing 2019“, which points towards a release at the end of 2019.
But anyway, I’m excited as hell – and of course I will collect all informations available on the way.
So for now, praise the Emperor! For else he will send his Daughters with purging flame!
