The time has come to introduce a new HQ choice for your Sisters of Battle army. How long has it been that we were limited to a handful of Canoness and for variety, be forced to take HQ choices from the Ministorum, or allied armies.
Yes, there is also a Saint flying around, but she is expensive (eventhough cheap for what she offers) and I hardly doubt, that in every single battle, the Saints will show up and save the day.
So today, let’s take a look at a new standard HQ-Choice we came up with – The Legatine
Datasheet
The Legatine is among the highest ranking Sisters in any Order Militant of the Adepta Sororitas. The most skilled of warriors and the greatest spiritual leaders the Sororitas possess, they inspire great devotion in those that follow them and are political powers in their own right in the Imperium. Most Legatines go on to serve as a Canoness Preceptor, Prioress or even the Canoness Superior of their Order.
Suggested points per model: 90 (Does not include wargear)
As you will notice, the Legatine is simply a mix of a ministorum priest and an imagifier. And that’s absolutely fine. She combines two important skills that can push your army quite a bit and is still a reasonable choice on her own, given the same equipment-options as a canoness and only one attack less.
This being said, she is twice the price of a canoness and therefor probably no option for more than 1 or 2 models per army.
Building a Legatine
There are lots of possibilites to build your own Legatine. What I will probably do, is getting one the gorgeous Raging Heroes miniaturs, namely Sol-Sarya, Priestess of the Sun of Thorns. She looks stunning and if you now think, I came up with the whole Legatine idea just to pick her … then … well, then you’re a heretic and should burn … *cough*

Of course you can also convert a Legatine, just like I did with other HQ-Choices. Currently, I’m planing some conversions with Stormcast Eternals. So if you want to keep things GW, that might be an idea to keep in mind as well.
And that’s it for now. Let me know about your thought in the comments and may the Emperor protect you!
